The Scallywags are the representative of the ever-growing Pirate City Juniors program. 

Taking skaters from the age of 8 right through to their graduation to our adult program, our experienced coaches follow the grading levels set out by the Junior Roller Derby Association (JRDA) to create age-appropriate content that allows young skaters of all-genders to learn Roller Derby (and skating!) in a supportive, inclusive and fun environment.

Pirate City Rollers are dedicated to providing a safe space for children, and our coaches have the prerequisite documentation for working with children in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our coaches work hard to ensure an environment that this welcoming of children of all genders, backgrounds, abilities, and past level of experience. 

Our Scallywags are committed to the development of Junior Roller Derby within Aotearoa New Zealand, and in addition to providing opportunities for competitive play within Auckland we are consistently looking for new ways and strategic partnerships to help Junior Roller Derby develop within other regions also.
